Twins fall to Royals in extra innings

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins cdropped their series finale to the Kansas City Royals in 10 innings, 2-1 at Target Field on Sunday afternoon.

The Twins jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with an RBI single from Ty France, but Bailey Ober gave up the game-tying run on a Freddy Fermin double in the seventh. Jhoan Duran gave up the go-ahead score in the top of the tenth and was charged with the loss in relief. Minnesota is tied for second place in the AL Central at 29-23.

Chris Paddack starts for the Twins against the Rays in Tampa Bay on Monday night. First pitch is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
