Twins fall to Yankees in series rubber match

The Minnesota Twins dropped their series rubber match to the New York Yankees 10-5 on Wednesday night.

Taj Bradley gave up seven runs over four innings and was tagged with the loss. Travis Adams, Pierson Ohl, and Kody Funderburk each tossed a scoreless inning in relief. Cole Sands gave up one run in one inning out of the bullpen while Genesis Cabrera gave up one run over an inning of work.

Brooks Lee drove in two runs. Luke Keaschall and Royce Lewis added an RBI apiece.

The Twins now have an off day on Thursday before welcoming the Cleveland Guardians to Target Field for a four game weekend series to wrap up their 10-game home stand. Friday evening’s first pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. with Pablo Lopez scheduled to be on the bump for Minnesota.
