Twins free fall continues with another loss to White Sox

A five run seventh inning cost the Minnesota Twins in an 11-8 loss to the Chicago White Sox at Target Field on Thursday night. The Twins were swept in the four game series.

Taj Bradley gave up four runs with seven strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision. Travis Adams gave up four runs over one inning out of the bullpen and was tagged with the loss. Genesis Cabrera allowed one run over an inning of work. Michael Tonkin threw a scoreless inning. Noah David surrendered two runs (one earned) over an inning out of the bullpen.

Mickey Gasper paced the Minnesota offense driving in three runs. Kody Clemens and Mall Wallner each hit a solo home run. Luke Keaschall, Trevor Larnach, and Ryan Fitzgerald each picked up an RBI.

The Twins are now hitting the road for a six game road trip beginning with a three game series in Kansas City. Friday evening’s first pitch against the Royals is slated for 6:40 p.m. Minnesota will send ace Joe Ryan to the bump with Michael Wacha countering for KC.
