(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are bringing in a fresh arm.
The team claimed left-hander Joey Wentz off waivers from the Pirates on Thursday. Wentz is 2-1 with a 4.15 ERA in 19 appearances out of the bullpen this season.
The Twins traded reliever Jorge Alcala to the Boston Red Sox for a minor leaguer in order to make room on the roster for Wentz.
