Twins shutout Rangers in series rubber match

The Minnesota Twins shutout the Texas Rangers 4-0 in their series rubber match on Thursday afternoon.

Bailey Ober struck out five batters over six scoreless innings en route to earning the win. Kody Funderburk, Pierson Ohl, and Cole Sands each tossed a shutout inning in relief.

Byron Buxton hit two home runs while driving in all four of the game’s runs.

The Twins will now head to Philadelphia for a three-game weekend series against the Phillies to wrap up the 2025 season. First pitch for Friday night’s series opener is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. Joe Ryan is slated to be on the bump for Minnesota.
