Twins sign veteran SS Arcia

(Minneapolis, MN) — The Minnesota Twins are adding an All-Star shortstop. The team signed Orlando Arcia to a minor league contract over the weekend. The deal includes an invite to Spring Training.

The 31-year-old was an All-Star during the 2023 season, but he hit just .202 with three home runs and 13 RBI’s in 76 games between Atlanta and Colorado last year.

Arcia has been a big leaguer since 2016. He has played in 1,014 career games, batting .239 while hitting 90 home runs and driving in 347 runs.

The Twins will report to Spring Training in mid-February.
