The Minnesota Twins were shutout 3-0 by the Detroit Tigers on Sunday Night Baseball in their series rubber match.
The Twins only managed three baserunners with two hits and one walk. Reigning AL Cy Young Award winner Tarik Skubal struck out 13 Twins over seven scoreless innings while earning his 10th win of the season.
Chris Paddack gave up three runs over 4 ⅔ innings and was tagged with the loss. Danny Coulombe recorded one out with Brock Stewart throwing a scoreless inning and Justin Topa finishing the game with a pair of shutout innings.
The Twins have an off day on Monday before heading to Miami for a series against the Marlins beginning on Tuesday night. Tuesday evening’s first pitch is scheduled for 5:40 p.m. with Joe Ryan scheduled to be on the mound for Minnesota.
