Twins sweep Orioles; Extend winning streak to five games

The Minnesota Twins swept the Baltimore Orioles out of Target Field with a 5-2 victory on Thursday afternoon to extend their winning streak to five games.

Bailey Ober struck out eight batters over five innings while only giving up one run in a no-decision. Cole Sands, Justin Topa, Griffin Jax, and Jhoan Duran each tossed a shutout inning in relief. Jax earned his first victory of the season while Duran picked up a save for the second straight day. Duran now has six saves on the season.

Brooks Lee and Ty France drove in two runs apiece. Trevor Larnach added a solo home run, his fifth of the season.

The Twins will now welcome the San Francisco Giants to Target Field for a weekend series beginning on Friday night at 7:10 p.m. Game coverage is available nationally on Apple TV+. Chris Paddack will get the nod for Minnesota while Jordan Hicks is scheduled to counter for San Francisco.
