Twins sweep O’s extending winning streak to 11 games

The Minnesota Twins shutout the Baltimore Orioles 4-0 on Thursday to complete the series sweep. Minnesota has now won 11 straight games.

Both Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa left the game after colliding in the outfield on a pop up. Chris Paddack was outstanding, tossing seven shutout innings en route to earning the victory. Louie Varland tossed a shutout eighth inning in relief with two strikeouts. Jhoan Duran closed the door with a scoreless ninth inning on the mound.

DeShawn Keirsey Jr. hit a two run homer while Byron Buxton hit a solo shot with Royce Lewis also adding an RBI.

The Twins are now off to Milwaukee to battle the Brewers in a weekend series beginning Friday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. with Joe Ryan scheduled to be on the mound for Minnesota.
