The Minnesota Twins dropped their series finale to the Athletics 8-3 on Thursday afternoon.
Jose Urena gave up six runs over five innings and was tagged with the loss. Michael Tonkin gave up two runs over 1 ⅔ innings in relief. Erasmo Ramirez tossed 1 ⅓ scoreless innings followed by a shutout inning from Brooks Kriske.
Royce Lewis, James Outman, and Austin Martin drove in a run apiece.
The Twins are now off to Chicago for a weekend series against the White Sox. First pitch for Friday evening’s series opener is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. Zebby Matthews is scheduled to be on the mound for Minnesota while Aaron Civale counters for the South Siders.
