After a 3 hour and 10 minute rain delay the Minnesota Twins fell to the Cleveland Guardians 2-1 in a pitcher duel on Tuesday night.
Ty France recorded three hits for the Twins, including hitting a solo home run. Chris Paddack gave up one run over five innings in a no-decision. Brock Stewart, Griffin Jax, and Jhoan Duran each tossed a shutout inning in relief. Louie Varland gave up the walk-off home run to the leadoff batter in the ninth inning.

Bo Naylor hit Cleveland’s first solo home run with Kyle Manzardo hitting the walk-off solo shot in the ninth inning.
The Twins and Guardians will continue their series on Wednesday night with first pitch scheduled for 5:10 p.m. Pablo Lopez is scheduled to be on the mound for Minnesota while Luis Ortiz gets the nod for Cleveland.
