On Friday, March 6, Minnesota Vikings center, Ryan Kelly, announced his retirement from the NFL on social media.
In a post on X he said, “10 seasons. What an incredible ride it was. I was blessed to be around some of the greatest people this sport has to offer. I always wanted to leave each place better than how I found it and with that I can hang my hat. Forever grateful for my family and brothers! Cheers”.
Kelly spent 10 seasons in the NFL, nine with the Indianapolis Colts from 2016-24 and one season with the Minnesota Vikings in 2025. Throughout his career, Kelly started in all 129 games he appeared in along with earning four Pro Bowl selections.
The 32-year-old suffered three concussions with Minnesota in 2025 before being place on the season-ending IR. His third concussion of the season came after adding the guardian cap to his helmet.
Vikings beat reporter for ESPN, Kevin Seifert posted Kelly’s full retirement announcement from Instagram on his X account.
