The Minnesota Vikings overcame a double digit fourth quarter deficit en route to a thrilling 27-24 win over the Chicago Bears to open the 2025 season. Minnesota trailed 17-6 entering the fourth quarter before outsourcing Chicago 21-7 in the final quarter.
JJ McCarthy struggled early, but found his footing in the second half. McCarthy completed 13-of-20 passes for 143 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. He also added two rushes for 25 yards and one touchdown.

Aaron Jones caught three passes for 44 yards and one touchdown. Justin Jefferson tallied four receptions for 44 yards and one touchdown. Jordan Mason led the rushing attack with 15 carries for 68 yards.
Will Reichard was two-for-two in his field goal attempts with a career-high 59-yard field goal, which is now the longest in Soldier Field history.
Josh Metellus led the defense with six tackles. Javon Hargrave, Eric Wilson, Andrew Van Ginkel, Isaiah Rodgers, and Ivan Pace Jr. chipped in five tackles apiece. Jay Ward added three tackles with a fumble recovery.
