The Minnesota Wild clinched a playoff berth after defeating the Vancouver Canucks 5-2 on Thursday evening. Minnesota joins Colorado, Dallas, and Carolina as the fourth team in the nHL to clinch a spot in the postseason.
Matt Boldy led the Wild with two goals and an assist. Ryan Hartman added two goals while Kirill Kaprizov tallied a goal and an assist. Mats Zuccarello chipped in a pair of assists followed by an assist apiece from Joel Eriksson Ek, Marcus Johansson, and Quinn Hughes. Boldy and Kaprizov now each have 40 goals scored on the season.

Filip Gustavsson saved 30 of the 32 shots he faced in net. The Wild improved to a record of 42-21-12 on the season.
