Wild defeat Golden Knights; Take 2-1 series lead

The Minnesota Wild took down the Vegas Golden Knights 5-2 in Game Three of their Stanley Cup Playoffs Western Conference Quarterfinals series on Thursday night.

The Wild had four different goal scorers, led by Kirill Kaprizov’s two power play goals. Marco Rossi, Matt Boldy, and Marcus Foligno each added a goal in the game.

Filip Gustavsson saved 30 of the 32 shots he faced in net. Vegas outhit the Wild 42-26.

Minnesota now leads the best-of-seven series 2-1.

Game 4 will be played on Saturday afternoon in St. Paul at the Xcel Energy Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 3 p.m. with game coverage available nationally on TBS.
