Wild fall in OT of down-to-the-wire Game 5 against Vegas

The Minnesota Wild fell to the Vegas Golden Knights in OT 3-2 of Game 5 of their Western Conference Quarterfinals series.

This is the second straight OT loss for the Wild in the series.

Kirill Kaprizov and Matt Boldy each scored for Minnesota. Filip Gustavsson saved 23 of the 25 shots he faced in net, before being removed from the game due to illness after the second period. Marc-Andre Fleury saved 6 of the 7 shots he fielded in relief.

Brett Howden scored the game-winning goal at the 15:55 mark of the overtime period. Mark Stone and William Karlsson each added goals for the Golden Knights.

Vegas now leads the best-of-seven series 3-2.

Game 6 will be on Thursday night in St. Paul at the Xcel Energy Center. Puck drop will be at 6:30 p.m. with game coverage available nationally on ESPN.
