Wild fall short to Sharks in shootout

The Minnesota Wild fell to the San Jose Sharks 4-3 in a shootout on Wednesday afternoon.

Vladimir Tarasenko, Marcus Foligno, and Mats Zuccarello each scored a goal in the game. Ryan Hartman, Vinnie Hinostroza, Zach Bogosian, and Jake Middleton recorded an assist apiece. The Wild lost the shootout 2-0.

Jesper Wallstedt saved 25 of the 28 shots he faced in net. Minnesota dropped to a record of 24-10-7 on the season.

The Wild will remain on the road to begin 2026. They will visit the Anaheim Ducks on Friday evening with the puck drop scheduled for 9:30 p.m. and game coverage available on FanDuel Sports Network North.
