Wild fall to Avs in SO

The Minnesota Wild fell to the Colorado Avalanche in a shootout 3-2 on Sunday afternoon.

Kirill Kaprizov and Nico Sturm each scored for Minnesota. Quinn Hughes, Joel Eriksson Ek, and Brock Faber each added an assist in the game.

Jesper Wallstedt saved 34 of the 36 shots he faced in net.

Colorado won the shootout scoring two times in four rounds. Valeri Nichushkin and Nathan MacKinnon scored for the Avs in the SO while only Matt Boldy scored for the Wild

Minnesota fell to a record of 37-16-11 on the season. The Wild will return to the ice on Tuesday when they host the Utah Mammoth. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. with game coverage available on Hulu.
