(St. Paul, MN) — The Minnesota Wild are adding a seasoned coach to their organization.
The team hired Greg Cronin to be the head coach of the AHL’s Iowa Wild next season. Cronin spent the last two seasons as the coach of the Anaheim Ducks. He led Anaheim to a 35-37-10 record last year.
Cronin had a pair of stints as an assistant coach for the New York Islanders from 1998-2003 and 2014-18. Additionally, he was an assistant with the Toronto Maple Leafs from 2011-14. Prior to leading the Ducks, he was the head coach for the AHL’s Colorado Eagles from 2018-23. Cronin has coached between the college and professional ranks since 1987.
