Filip Gustavsson saved 16 of the 18 shots he faced in net.
Marcus Johansson led the Minnesota offense with two goals. Matt Boldy, Joel Eriksson Ek, and Zach Bogosian each scored a goal. Boldy and Vladimir Tarasenko chipped in two assists apiece while Eriksson Ek, Kirill Kaprizov, and Zeev Buium each recorded an assist.
