Wolves assistant Nori interviews for Knicks HC vacancy

On Tuesday, June 24 ESPN’s Senior NBA Insider, Shams Charania, reported that the New York Knicks have interviewed current Minnesota Timberwolves assistant coach Micah Nori for their current head coaching vacancy.

The Knicks have also interviewed former NBA head coaches Mike Brown and Taylor Jenkins. Nori isn’t the first coach on Minnesota’s current staff that New York has shown interest in… The Wolves denied their request to interview head coach Chris Finch earlier this month. Additionally, the Knicks were declined requests to interview other head coaches that included Dallas’ Jason Kidd, Houston’s Ime Udoka, Atlanta’s Quin Snyder, and Chicago’s Billy Donovan.

New York fired former Wolves head coach Tom Thibodeau in early June after their first Eastern Conference Finals appearance in 25 years.

Nori, Brown, and Jenkins have all completed formal interviews with the Knicks per Charania.
