Ceasefire talks continue between Israel and Hamas as few breakthroughs surface

WDAY RADIO — Secretary of State Antony Blinken says current negotiations to push for a truce between Israel and Hamas may be the last chance to reach a deal to end the war.

Speaking earlier today in Tel Aviv where he held meetings with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Blinken said this round of talks could be the best and last chance to get a cease-fire in place and hostages returned home. So far there have been few breakthroughs in talks aimed at stopping the war that’s been raging since last October, when Hamas attacked Israel killing more than a thousand and taking hundreds hostage.

More than 40,000 Palestinians have been killed since the start of the war according to Gazan Health Officials.
