Hunter Biden likely to appeal federal firearms conviction after Tuesday guilty verdict

WILMINGTON, DE — Hunter Biden is facing up to 25 years in prison after being convicted in his federal firearms case Tuesday.

The Delaware judge in the case has not set a sentencing date yet. Legal experts say it’s unlikely the President’s son will receive anywhere near the maximum sentence. Hunter is likely to appeal his conviction after his defense attorney said in a statement that they will “continue to vigorously pursue all the legal challenges available.”

He is also facing a trial on federal tax charges that is set to begin September 5th in California.
