CASSELTON, ND — A missing 5-year-old is safe after being reported missing Sunday night.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says the child wandered away from the Days Inn in Casselton at approximately 8:45 p.m., which prompted a response from authorities. A party of multiple local authorities and community members searched the area. Approximately an hour after the search began, authorities say the child returned to the campground area outside the hotel.
A review of the incident remains ongoing by local authorities.
