RedHawks collapse in ninth, fall to Canaries again

The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks had a ninth inning collapse, giving up seven runs in an 8-6 loss to the Sioux Falls Canaries on Thursday night.

The Canaries swept the series and now lead the Winnipeg Goldeyes by 2.5 games and Fargo-Moorhead by three games for first in the West Division.

Alex DuBord gave up three of the ninth inning runs while Garrett Alexander gave up four runs and was tagged with the loss. Drew Ward paced the F-M offense with a home run and three RBI. Fargo North graduate Michael Hallquist hit his first professional home run in the game.

The RedHawks will now head to Lake Country for a weekend series with the DockHounds. First pitch for Friday night game is slated for 6:35 p.m.
