Mild start to February....mid week snow? Dangerous wind chills by weekend.

Happy February!! There appears to be a change around the corner, but before we get to that, lets enjoy a mild start to the month of February. Temps start out the month above normal but as I discussed last week, February will be more like January in terms of temps. After 20s and 30s to start this week, an arctic front will blast through the area on Wed. night. with windy and much colder weather for the rest of the week with a chance for snow on Thursday.  Right now, it doesn't look like a lot of snow (a few inches) on Thursday.  The bigger deal will be winds, which will blow around the snow and could cause some dangerous driving conditions on Thursday with falling temps.  By the weekend, highs will remain below zero with wind chills around -40 below if not colder.  Although not unheard of for this time of the year, it will be a drastic change from the beginning of the week.  If you have any travel plans for Super Bowl Sunday be sure to have your winter weather survival kit in your vehicle.
