The SPC (Storm Prediction Center) out of Norman, Oklahoma has issued a large geographical area for severe weather tomorrow Thursday (3-25-2021). Damaging wind, large hail, tornados, and even significant dangerous tornados will be possible in the area. The highest threat will be in the orange and red shaded areas in the image displayed above.
In our area within the Red River Valley will continue to be looking at above-average temperatures continuing but breezy for the next week. Sunny skies for Thursday with highs in the low to mid 50's. Will be close to 50 for highs on Friday and Saturday with a shot at some much-needed rain and even a little snow possible overnight Friday into Saturday morning. As we go into the beginning of next week we may see our warmest day yet. Numerical models now picking up on a decent warm-up on Monday as low pressure brings some warm air northward. High temperatures will be in the mid 60's but it's possible we could break into the low 70's as projected by the 3-24-21, 12Z GFS numerical model.
