Warmth Continues... Showers and Thunderstorms End of Week...

Warmth will continue today and Wednesday. Temperatures will top out in the low 80's today, and mid-80s on Wednesday (mid 70's out west). Unfortunately, the wind will be sticking around, out of the south between 10 and 30 mph. Showers will begin to push up from the south Wednesday evening, with a few thundershowers possible overnight. Going through the rest of our week and weekend, day to day chances for showers and thunderstorms. This will bring in some much-needed precip (rain) for our agriculture community. By the end of the day Sunday, much of the state will have received about an inch of rain-fall. Localized areas will see more where thunderstorms developed. All in all, I think we can all give up a nice weekend to help the farmers and ranchers out from this dry winter, and spring to get a kick start in the right direction. The longer-term forecast looks like more showers possible through the rest of May, with a brief "cool" down then temperature more like average.
