Record HEAT with little rain

As the infamous Harry Caray would say, HOLY COW!!  Look at that heat map for Friday with many places possibly touching the century mark.  Needless to say, this will approach or exceed records not only for Friday but likely Saturday as well. Unfortunately it looks like a pretty dry forecast too.  With the intense early summer heat this will cause further problems with the drought conditions.  There are some weak signals from our extended models that more rain MAY come into the area next week.    In the short  term, look for an isolated storm or two to develop around the valley toward evening and into the overnight.  Pretty dry forecast after that with temps warming from 80s on Wednesday to near 100 friday and Saturday.    Make sure that air conditioner is in proper working condition TODAY before the HOT weather settles in.
