Hot and humid....more severe weather? Less humid weekend.

Breezy hot and humid weather over the next few days with temps in the 80s and 90s.  If you are looking for relief, it comes in the form of a cold front on Thursday.  As this front sweeps across the state there is a chance for severe weather in the western part of the state starting Thursday afternoon,  SPC (storm prediction center) has put most of the state in a slight risk for severe weather with the western part of ND in an enhanced risk.  Damaging winds and hail are the main threats.  Storms will erupt in the afternoon and spread eastward overnight.  As the storms approach the valley overnight, they are expected to be in a weakening phase.  We will be keeping a close eye on these storms as the track across the state.  Behind this cold front, much less humid air will track into the area for the upcoming weekend with temps in the mid 80s.
