Another heat wave coming, little rain expected

Smoke from the Manitoba wildfires continue to spill south into the valley for the next few days.  You will notice milky white skies which is upper level smoke.  At times this will make it closer to the surface which could effect some allergy sufferers.  Temps will remain mild for the next few days in the 80s.  A storm system will pass to our south on Wednesday which will bring a slight chance of rain to the southern valley in the afternoon. Don't get excited at any appreciable rainfall as the main storm with the heavier rain will pass through SD and southern MN.  The attached maps show a big heat ridge building into the area next week and notice ALL of the rainfall over the next 10 days will track to our south.  Unfortunately, little to NO chance for rain for the valley, outside of a slight chance Wed., over the next 10 days.  Temps by next week will be in the mid to upper 90s!!!  Stay cool.
