Monday's rainfall and a hot and humid week ahead

Yesterday's rainfall was generally about 1/3 to 1/2" but Sabin and Hillsboro were the winners with totals topping 1"   Winds gusted between 50 to 65 mph across the Valley as severe storms rolled through Monday afternoon.   We have a pattern called "ring of fire"   This is where as a "heat dome" builds in, storms roll along the periphery of the heat ridge.  This pattern will hold through Thursday before it shifts north and mid 90s return.  Long term outlook has this heat ridge holding firm in our area with temps in upper 80s to mid 90s for the next 2 weeks!!
