Rainfall amounts....Mild end to Oct. Chilly start to Nov.

Some pretty impressive rainfall totals for the F/M area and over into the lakes area while areas to the west didn't receive much at all.  3/4" to 1" was common across the valley.  Now we will see some pretty nice weather for a few days with temps in the 50s.  A great way to end the month of Oct.  Halloween, however, looks chilly as a cold front will be moving through the area.  This will usher in much cooler air for our trick or treaters.  Wind chills on Halloween evening will be in the 20s.

Notice on the second map, there is a big buckle in  the jet stream.  This will usher in much cooler air for the start of November with highs only in the 30s.  It will be pretty short lived (3 to 4 days) before temps moderate by the end of the first week of November.

Don't forget our WINTER WEATHER SPECIAL will air on Nov. 17th where we will forecast our upcoming winter.  Hint:  It WON'T be like last winter.....stay tuned
