Severe weather threat on Friday/Saturday

A potent storm system will roll out of the Rockies into the Northern Plains Friday through Sunday.  This will be a "classic" spring storm with snow/blizzard conditions in Western North Dakota and the possibility of the first severe weather outbreak of the season for Eastern ND/SD into Western MN.  Showers and storms will develop on Friday into Friday night.  Some of the storms could be severe with hail and winds being the main threat.  On Saturday we get in the 'warm sector" of the storm and some of these storms that develop could be a bit stronger with the threat of hail and a few isolated tornadoes possible  for the Valley into Western MN.  As the storm pushes east on Sunday, cold air wraps into the Valley and we could see some wet snow.  Keep up to date on the current forecast and make sure to have a weather radio handy so you can be "weather ready" in case severe weather develops.
