Daily Chances For Scattered Showers Into Next Week Before Cooler Temperatures

Daily chances for some rain will exist through today (Thursday) into the middle of next week. Not all day rains but at lease some scattered showers and isolated storms. Sunday looks to be the day with the lease chance for rain and increasing amounts of sunshine through the day.

Through Thursday I expect a few showers here or there around the area this morning and afternoon before more scattered showers, and thundershowers develop this evening into tonight. Starting in the southern valley and over into lakes country. I feel the bulk of the late evening and overnight showers will favor towards the northern valley, similar for Friday although some showers are still expected within the southern valley. Saturday some scattered showers are still possible, same for Monday and Tuesday of the coming week.

Temperatures will bounce around quite a bit before cooler weather hits next week. 70's to mid 80s across the area today with breezy conditions out of the SSW between 10-20 mph. Temperatures will cool close to 60 for a high on Friday with lighter winds before warming back to lower 70s on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Brief "Heat" is expected on Tuesday with temperatures expected to reach back into the upper 70s to mid 80s before we drop back into the 60s and possible 50s for highs late next week. Some overnight lows could dip into the 30s Thursday night, something to watch but right now now freezing temperatures are expected.

Attached are a couple of models on expected rainfall through Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Again keep in mind these are computer model expectations. I still feel the Euro model (ECMWF) is overdoing amounts specially in the more reddish color swaths.
