More Storms and Chance for Severe Weather

We are going into a two-day window for some strong to severe storms, Good news is that it's a low chance but enough for a marginal risk for severe weather to pop up Wednesday and Thursday in eastern North Dakota.

Day one of the risks is for today, Wednesday, June 7, 2023. Some scattered storms are likely to develop in eastern North Dakota this afternoon and evening, a storm or two could be on the severe side with the main concern being wind gusts of 60+ mph and then 1-inch hail. Storms will weaken and dissipate tonight, but some remnant showers are possible overnight favoring Minnesota. Outside of the storm possibility wind will generally be around 10-20 mph from the south-southeast under partly cloudy to partly sunny, hazy skies and hot and humid conditions... temperatures generally in the 80s to low 90s possible.

Day two of the marginal risk is on Thursday, June 8, 2023. Hot and humid for the day with a likely chance for scattered storms developing west of the Red River in eastern North Dakota through Thursday afternoon. Some of these storms as well could be strong to marginally severe. The main concern again is wind then hail of 1 inch. Storms will track more eastward as we head through the afternoon into the evening and overnight. Generally, storms should weaken after dark but a strong storm will remain possible overnight.

Another chance for some popup storms and or showers comes Friday afternoon and evening before 'cooler' and drier weather hits for the weekend with temperatures closer to 80. Weather looks to take a more progressive turn next week vs the same weather day in and day out we have experienced over the past week.
