Ending On A Warm Note

After a weak of brutally cold, and wind chills that dipped as low as -72 in Dickinson ND, and 30 to 50- below in Eastern North Dakota and Western Minnesota. Much-awaited warmth is on the way, a nice little January thaw. The weather pattern ahead over the next week looks rather quiet with no real disturbances in the forecast that would lead to impactful weather. Instead, a mild and quiet forecast to round out the month with 30s and even some 40s (mainly in Central and Western ND) is returning to the area, along with generally light wind.
For reference, the average high temperature in Fargo is 18 degrees this time of year.
