FINALLY SOME MUCH NEEDED RAIN.....HOW MUCH MORE AND THE ECLIPSE FORECAST

It's the happy dance for our AG community as some much needed rain is blanketing the central and southern valley and into Minnesota.  Unfortunately, our northern valley and into NW Minnesota are missing out on the majority of precip.  This is the same storm that brought near 50 mph wind gusts on Saturday.  As it rotates north into the N. Plains, rainfall will continue through Monday.  Most models are in GREAT agreement with the amount of rainfall between .75" and 1.0" of rain.    Here's a look at the European and Canadian model which are in good agreement:

Now, unfortunately we will not be able to see the solar eclipse on Monday afternoon due to the cloud cover.  There's a couple more potential storms before the month is done so great news for some of the drought stricken areas.
