Heat and humidity will be on the increase through the weekend. Along with the heat and humidity, storms will be developing both Thursday and Friday evening into the overnight hours and some of those could be severe. The Storm Prediction Center has put our area in a slight risk for severe weather tonight:
As heat continues to build in on Friday, we will still be in a slight risk for severe weather from the evening onward. Currently, the SPC (Storm Prediction Center) has us in a slight risk on Friday:
It wouldn’t surprise me if this gets upgraded to an enhanced risk as I’m expecting more widespread storms on Friday eve-Fri night.
After the storms, a HOT weekend is in store with excessive heat watch covering the S. Valley into lakes country where heat index readings are expected to be around 100
