So far over the last few weeks, we’ve been pretty blessed with precip being at or above normal throughout most of the N. Plains:
We are about to go into a “wetter” part of the LRC cycle through about the 3rd week of June. Here’s one model’s snapshot of precip expectations through the 19th:

Summer warmth will be building north over the next few weeks with temps soaring into the 80s. But, before we get there, we will have a brief dump of chilly air on Sunday/Monday and along with that, more smoke is likely to pour in from Canada for a few days with our winds coming in out of Winnipeg :

That area of Low pressure near lake winnipeg will be shifting south into our area Sunday into Monday dragging the smoke with it. The rest of next week looks warmer with temps in the 80s!!!
