The LRC (Lezak Recurring Cycle) was invented by well known meteorologist Gary Lezak. It revolves around a proven theory that starting in early October, once the sun sets at the north pole and that area goes into darkness, a new “cycle” starts to develop. That pattern that develops over the next 30 to 60 days will cycle back through the area throughout the winter, spring and into summer until a new cycle sets up the following fall.

Gary Lezak founded the LRC back in the 80s in Oklahoma City when a freak ice storm hit the area:

Today at 2pm on the Jay Thomas show we will be joined by Gary Lezak to break down what our winter looks like. Will it be mild? Will we return to a good old fashioned winter? When will the warm stretches be? When will the bigger storms impact the area??

Join us today at 2pm for all the details on the LRC winter weather outlook!!
