MPCA extends air quality alert, northwest corner of state in hazardous category

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency extended its air quality alert until Wednesday at noon for the entire state.

Because of smoke from Canadian wildfires, the air quality index is expected to reach hazardous levels for everyone in the northwest part of the state from Polk to Kittson and Lake of the Woods counties. Much of our listening area is in the very unhealthy category for everyone.
