A rather strong storm system will be riding into our area coming out of the Rockies. Plenty of moisture will be drawn northward and give much of the area some decent soaking rains:
It’s a slow moving storm so it will be spinning over the area for a few days bringing us some widespread rainfall. The exact track of the storm will determine where the heavier bands of rain will set up (likely west of the Valley) :
Note the difference in models for the Valley rainfall totals. The heavier rain will definitely fall out west of the Valley where they desperately need it. Our totals in Valley into Lakes Country will depend on the exact track of the storm. We want this storm to track just a bit south of where it’s currently forecasted in order for the F/M area to pick up heavier rainfall.
