RECORD WARMTH…..that was the headline over the weekend as we set 2 records on Sunday. Record warm morning low AND a record high in the afternoon. We set ANOTHER record warm morning low this morning and we will be close to another record high this afternoon. Winds will obviously be a problem with blowing dust/dirt throughout the area. It’s going to be a CRAZY week in weather around here with near record highs, then much needed rain, then possible frost over the weekend as temps start the week in the 90s and by the weekend morning lows will be in the low to mid 30s.
Now, as we transition from record heat to much cooler weather, some much needed rainfall across all of the area. Here’s a look at 3 of our models and what they are forecasting in regards to rainfall amounts:

Now typically models tend to overforecast rainfall amounts but you get the idea. Good chance of widespread rainfall of around 1″ with some pockets of up to 2″ This is much needed moisture and quite beneficial for our ag community.
