The National Weather Service says severe thunderstorms are forecasted for late Tuesday into Tuesday evening. Tornadoes, hail up to 2 inches in size and winds up to 70 mph are possible.
“The line of storms crosses the RRV around 3 to 4 AM and moves out of Lakes Country and northwest MN around 7 to 8 AM Wednesday. By that time, expect another 0.5″ to 1″ across much of our region, with some areas seeing over 1″. All the while, between Tuesday afternoon and overnight, there is a chance of isolated to scattered severe storms, capable of hail as large as golf balls, winds up to 70 mph, and even a chance of tornadoes,” says Lisa Green at VNL.
