Showers and storms will be pushing into the Valley later this afternoon into tonight. Although most of the severe weather will be to our west:
Today’s storms will come in a few rounds. Round 1 early to mid afternoon….then a brief break then stronger storms will develop toward evening. Some of the area could pick up some heavier rainfall ranging from 1-2″ possible:
After todays rainfall, hot and humid weather builds into the area for Thursday and Friday with temps around 90. There is a chance for storms Thursday night but a better chance for severe weather Friday late afternoon/evening as a cold front moves through. The SPC (storm prediction center) has our area outlined for the possiblity of severe weather:
