Wolves crushed by Spurs in Game 5 of Western Conference Semifinals

The Minnesota Timberwolves were outscored in all four quarters of a 126-97 loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday night.

Anthony Edwards paced Minnesota with 20 points. Julius Randle added 17 points and 10 rebounds while Jaden McDaniels dropped 17 points and six rebounds. Ayo Dosunmu chipped in 16 points, nine rebounds, four assists, three steals, and two blocks. Naz Reid tallied 12 points off the bench.

The Spurs shot 53 percent from the field while the Wolves shot 37 percent. Victor Wembanyama powered San Antonio with 27 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, and three blocks.

The Spurs now lead the best-of-seven series 3-2. Game 6 will be on Friday night in Minneapolis at the Target Center with tip-off scheduled for 8:30 p.m. with full game coverage available on Prime Video.
