Fargo Salvation Army Allows In-Person Dining Once Again

(Fargo, ND) -- It's been a full calender year, but things are starting to look like normal, to an extent, again at the Fargo Salvation Army.

Beginning Thursday, the non-profit is allowing patrons inside for hot meals and a place to shelter, albeit briefly, from the elements.

"It's just the little things that COVID robbed from us that we are taking back today, and it feels good," says Captain Jeanette Jansen. This after a full year of just serving folks at a drive by window due to the pandemic.

So what is the schedule? From 8-9 a.m, breakfast is served. Then, patrons are allowed to hangout inside the building off Roberts Street until lunch is served at 11:30. The doors do shut at 12:30 p.m. though, so staff can deep clean the building to get ready for the next day of visitors.

The Salvation Army is, however, taking appointments to stop in after 12:30. To schedule one, you can call (701) 232-5565.
