Sanford Fargo therapist named Certified Brain Injury Specialist of the Year

(Fargo, ND) -- A member of Sanford's medical team has taken home one of the top honors in North Dakota.

Sarah Ring, a Sanford Health speech therapist based in Fargo, has been named Certified Brain Injury Specialist of the Year by the North Dakota Brain Injury Network.

“Without the contributions of amazing people like Sarah, NDBIN would not be the amazing program it is today,” said Carly Endres, outreach coordinator for the North Dakota Brain Injury Network. “Sarah has always gone above and beyond in supporting our mission.”

Sarah Ring has been a senior speech therapist in the coordinated treatment center at Sanford Broadway Medical Center in Fargo for 24 years. In addition, Sarah is an adjunct professor and has trained nearly 30 CBIS across North Dakota on brain injuries.

Becoming a certified brain injury specialist is an intense training endeavor that delves into the essential aspects of brain injury treatment needed to effectively care for patients. Medical professionals from a variety of disciplines have become certified in North Dakota.

“I’m truly honored to receive this award,” said Ring. “It is my privilege to work with individuals from all regions of North Dakota on their journey after brain injury.”
