(Moorhead, MN) -- The Moorhead non-profit "Heart of Clay" is on a mission to help people successfully transition from prison life and treatment centers.

"Back actually in the fall of 2014 a few of us were having the conversation about meeting needs for ministry within the correctional facility," said Marie Swanson, a board of member for "Heart of Clay", while talking about how the ministry began.

Swanson said the ministry provides housing, counseling, and support services to people leaving prison and those in recovery.  They operate two homes for men and one for women serving a total of 15 people at a time.  The ministry provides spiritual encouragement and maintains accountability by requiring residents to have jobs, abide by a curfew, and participate in weekly meetings.  To learn more, check out their web site.
